LTT Bio-Pharma has performed collaborative research with several universities.
Contract research agreements were concluded with the Research Institute
for Drug Discovery, Kumamoto University Graduate School of Medical and
Pharmaceutical Sciences, St. Marianna University School of Medicine.
LTT Bio-Pharma dispatches researchers to these institutes to perform exploratory/basic research of DDS products. The deliverables of the contract research have led to fruition of many patent applications.
In principle, the development flow in LTT Bio-Pharma begins with the study of new designs or improvement of formulation of a drug available for clinical use. If collaborative basic research with a university suggests feasibility of practical use, LTT Bio-Pharma will file the patent application for the technology. LTT Bio-Pharma will establish academic positioning of such technology through presentation in professional meetings, and provide technical information to pharmaceutical companies for licensing.
